Float and Slash
Our widest big mountain slayer is back and better than ever! Designed by our athletes and pushed by the world’s best, the Ripstick 116 floats and slashes down the world's steepest and deepest lines.
As the widest ski in the collection, the Ripstick 116 is the pinnacle of the Elan freeride lineup. It's a hard charging freeride ski that’s burly, yet responsive, for top-to-bottom big-mountain mastery. The new Amphibio Carbon Line Technology, combined with round tip and tail shape delivers improved confidence at speed and maneuverability in powder. The Ripstick 116 is designed to dominate the deep days we all seek. They cut through windblown snow and crud with ease thanks to the direct power transmission of SST sidewalls, tip-to-tail woodcore, and carbon rods along each rail. The addition of Amphibio Carbon Line technology places strategically located carbon reinforcement over the edge of the skis to provide more stability in the turn. VaporTip inserts are added to the tip to reduce swing weight and chatter. Designed for the biggest, deepest lines in big mountains, the Ripstick 116 is all about good times!

My personal favorite ski is the Ripstick 116 and I rip them pretty much any chance I get. I use them on groomers, crud, ice, powder and touring. The Vapor Tip inserts have a light swing weight, the carbon rods make the ski incredibly torsionally sound, and the carbon weave along the inside edge gives you amazing edge grip. If you want to look like you’re a better skier than you are, then you should probably ski on these. That’s what I do and it’s worked out pretty well for me.

Amphibio Carbon Line Technology
Confidence Building Performance For Any Situation On The Mountain.
Amphibio Carbon Line technology is a combination of innovations that provide the best balance of lightweight construction with power and performance. Amphibio Carbon Line technology elevates the asymmetrical ski design to the next level by strategically locating carbon reinforcement over the inside edges of the skis providing more power in the turn, while carbon rods inserted into the woodcore maximize weight savings and overall stability. The end result is an extremely lightweight high performance ski with uncompromised versatility and smooth performance.
