The Haute Route is the most famous touring ski trip in the world. It connects two European mountaineering meccas: Chamonix and Zermatt. Six days spent in the highlands with long ascents, beautiful descents, friendly huts, and amazing scenery will eventually turn into one of the greatest pleasures in the life of a touring skier.
Several versions are possible, we usually pick up the ski via Verbier. Estimated sleeps in the huts may vary depending on the weather and conditions. We usually sleep in the huts of Argentiere, Trient, Prafleuri, Dix and Vignettes. The last day we will take a taxi from Zermatt back to Chamonix.
The event includes six days of high-altitude ski touring. Since we want to go on a strenuous journey full of energy, we will come to Chamonix on a “zero day” in the afternoon, inspect equipment, procure any additional equipment, and spend the night in Chamonix. The only downside to this great tour is that we are not the only ones who know about it 😉.
*The price includes six days of guidance and guide’s costs. Additional costs: Transport from Ljubljana-Chamonix and back, Chamonix - half board in five huts, drinks and snacks in the huts, cable cars and taxi (altogether approximately 600 €).
Who should attend:
Experienced touring skiers with good physical fitness and skiing skills in all types of snow.
Equipment needed:
Complete ski touring equipment, climbing harness, ice axe, crampons, helmet.
