In the first round of the women's competition, which took place on Ještěd under excellent weather conditions, the biggest favourite of the competition and leading woman of the World Cup Sara Takanashi from Japan jumped the farthest.  The sixteen-year-old landed on 98.5m mark and headed to the second round from the first position. Sara Takanashi coped best with the atmosphere of the second round, jumped better than anyone else and her 102m jump secured her the gold medal. Katja Pozun from Slovenia made providesd another podium place for Elan with a bronze medal.

65 competitors participated in the men's competition, including several ski-jumpers with experience of World Cup competitions.  In the first round, Jaka Hvala from Slovenia overtook all his rivals when he jumped 103 metres and advanced to the final in first position. In the final, the competitors were occasionally troubled by the wind.  Despite this, there were some excellent performances.
